Making a difference in the community, with the community.

We believe Bartlesville should be known as a place that cares for its own. When we started four years ago, we wanted to provide the citizens of Bartlesville, who live in compromised conditions, a place to go during dangerously cold temperatures.  

That vision has now grown to the point that we now can begin a new mission, B the Light Mission. B The Light will be open full-time for men and women who are homeless or in transition. We want to know the people of our community and find ways to meet their needs, whether that be through counseling, veteran services, medical attention, drug treatment, food, shelter, job placement, or prayer. B The Light Mission is positioned to help them find a path to dignity and independence. 

You can partner with B the Light Mission! With each $20 donation a guest will be able to stay one night, shower, have a fresh change of clothes and two hot meals. 

B the Light Mission will be bringing to the forefront a model of empowering the homeless to escape poverty and dependance on outside resources.  It is not a new model; the challenge model of empowering is based on old and proven methods. 

B the Light Mission seeks to reach those individuals that wish to make a change to their circumstances through challenging their current situation to build a better one.  Our prayer and belief are this will not only improve their situation but improve the community as a whole.
